Built for hard wear and unmistakable style, the Solovair Englander is one of the brand's most desirable modern boots. Made in the early 2000's in Northamptonshire, England, these feature the premium high-shine leather that many collectors consider to be the finest smooth leather Solovair has ever produced. It takes an exceptional shine, creases beautifully, and develops character without losing its rich black finish.

This pair is fitted with steel toes, 10-eye lace-up construction, and Solovair's substantial Commando sole. The deep lug pattern provides excellent grip while maintaining the comfort of Solovair's famous Soft Suspension air-cushioned sole. Goodyear welt construction means they're built to last and can be resoled by a skilled cobbler.

Unlike the standard Solovair Derby boot, the Englander has a taller shaft that offers additional ankle support and gives it a commanding military-inspired profile. Combined with the Commando sole and steel toe, it is one of the toughest boots Solovair has produced.

This pair is in excellent condition with attractive natural creasing throughout the uppers. The leather remains soft and supple, the steel toe caps retain a deep mirror shine, and the Commando soles show only light wear with years of life remaining.

A Collectible Generation

These Englanders were produced before Solovair was required to discontinue the use of its yellow welt stitching and traditional grooved sole edge after legal action brought by Dr. Martens' parent company over protected trade dress. Later Solovair boots adopted grey stitching and a revised sole edge, making these earlier yellow-stitched examples increasingly sought after by collectors.
